The village of Bad Oberdorf
Bad Oberdorf is an amazing village close to Bad Hindelang, below the Oberjoch mountain pass. In earlier times
it was a well known climatic spa town due to its unusually excellent air quality. It has retained its charm into the present.

The village has good local shops and services: bakery, butcher, cheesemakers, grocery stores, newsagents,
hairdresser, clothing stores, cafés, restaurants etc. Anything you cannot find in Bad Oberdorf, you can find
a few minutes walk away in Bad Hindelang.
The village also holds treasures: the old hammermill (historic armory), the magnificent gothic endowment
of the church including a life-size figure of Jesus Christ riding on a donkey, which every year on Palm
Sunday is pulled in a ceremonial procession to Bad Hindelang, typical shingle roofs, typical farmhouse
gardens etc.
Near the Ostrach, there is an heated natural swimming pool, a cold water Kneipp facility, a gondola lift
up to the Imberger Horn with a very long tobbogan run in winter and various
hiking trails in summer and a mountain bike park. Also nearby is the modern ski region onf Oberjoch, from where
you can ski downhill to within a few meters of the holiday flat.
The Ostrach valley with its secondary vallies leads into the Allgäu mountains. It is an
ideal starting point for activities in all saisons. The regional busses stop 2 minutes away from the holiday flat.
